VJ Books presents Barry Eisler!

Before becoming a full-time writer, Eisler had four jobs. From 1989 to 1992, he held a covert position in the CIA’s Directorate of Operations. He spent most of that stint working at the Japan desk. He left the agency to put his law degree from Cornell University to work at an international firm; next, he was an in-house counsel for Matsushita Electric Industrial (the parent company of Panasonic) in Osaka, Japan. Most recently, he was an executive at a Silicon Valley start-up.

 

His novel, Requiem for an Assassin, debuted at #19 on the New York Times Bestseller List.

 

Eisler and his family live in Menlo Park, California and continues to travel frequently to Japan and other parts of Asia.
