Great book, from a master of the crime novel.  Engaging plot, dialog, and characters. Humor and suspense. If I were a writer of Mr. Sanford's skills, I could do justice to his novels, but alas, I'm not. My advice - grab any of his books ( from VJ books, of course ). As close to  perfect as a crime novel gets.
