In this explosive new thriller, a combat engineer and archeologist must find Noah's Ark and the relic inside before our civilization is wiped out.

Archeologist Dr. Dilara Kenner flies from Peru to Los Angeles because family friend Sam Watson asked her. They meet at LAX where he informs her; the Ark has been found while cultists plot to eradicate humanity with the release of a disease found on the Ark. Someone accidentally bumps into Sam. As he falls to the floor, Sam realizes that was no accidental bump; he has been poisoned with contact venom and is dying just like Dilara's dad Hasad Arvadi was murdered. Sam's last breath to Dilara, of whom he considers a beloved niece, is to find Gordian Engineering's Tyler Locke and with him locate Noah's Ark.

Dilara encounters Locke on a floating oil rig about two hundred miles off the Newfoundland coast. When her helicopter crashes near his locale, the combat engineer rescues the archeologist. Her father's assassin, cult leader Sebastian Ulric, plans to release the deadly prion protein in eight days. Tyler and his friend Grant Westfield believe Dilara's tale, but know that no one else will; so they must race to prevent Ulric's extinction scheme.

This is an exhilarating quest thriller that grips the audience throughout. The story line is action-packed from the opening contact poisoning scene to several encounters and finally a final battle on Noah's Ark. Fans will appreciate the heroism of the dynamic trio while tensely waiting for their anticipated arrival on the Ark. Don't skip to the last section, you'll miss out on some exciting action that leads to the climax!

5 of 5 The Ark November 14, 2010
Reviewer: P. Sutton from Inglewood, West Australia
I really enjoyed this book. it has a lot of similarities to other authors and stories but enough of its own to be really enjoyable. It was like a Cussler ride or a Tom Clancy with Rainbow 6 but I would highly recommend it as a good read.
As an action adventure freak, this book did it for me and if you are after similar style books you will enjoy it.
Should be a good author to keep an eye on, I will.

4 of 5 Boyd Morrison - a new Clive Cussler? June 30, 2010
Reviewer: Captain Sparrow from New York, USA
What's not to like? Very CC/PK/JD like in characterization, storyline, good vs evil. A VERY fast read. The relationships, sidekicks, love interests had their own twist, though familiar, not a bad thing. The premise was exc. and I particularly liked Boyd's postscript comments, one of the few times that I really felt an authors hyperbole complemented a good work in the proper manner (as in don't add too much or overdue a good thing & know when to say "The End") I think if Cussler wrote it, w/ Pitt & gang in starring roles it would have had a more laminar flow w/ Cussler-esque finesse .... therein lies the ONLY criticism- 'Was it TOO much a Cussler blueprint'? Naysayers would use that as a sign of weakness in their praise, or lack thereof of a read. I could not in good faith NOT bring that up.

I view it as an early work w/character development to come, just as in other favorite authors. Adding in (a very logical progression + in good taste).

5 of 5 The Ark by Boyd Morrison May 7, 2010
Reviewer: Laura from Portland, Oregon

Boyd Morrison draws on his experience as a NASA and Microsoft engineer to deliver a thoroughly convincing and intriguing story. There was more than one night when I stayed up past my bedtime because I couldn’t bring myself to put the book down “just yet”.

Morrison added an afterword that helps the reader determine which things or places in the novel are real or not real (yet). I appreciated that thoughtful touch in his writing.

Boyd shares some compelling and witty personal insights to his life on his website at http://www.boydmorrison.com/. It’s worth the time to check it out.

Morrison has another book coming out in December 2010 and another in December 2011.

Yep, I highly recommend The Ark.
