"I noticed that the book is out in stores... where is my signed copy?"
 
Occasionally authors will sign books for us prior to the release date.  This is the exception, however, rather than the rule.  We typically receive the books from the publisher and wait for a convenient time for the author to sign them.  Usually this only takes a couple of weeks, but longer waits have been known to happen.  Sometimes the authors are out on tour and our copies get signed upon their return.
