I'm a very big Cussler fan, so its hard to find a bad book.  This one does not disappoint at all.  Kurt Austin does his thing and we are saved.
One odd fact, that is all the administrative areas of the book, Dirk Pitt is not mentioned or involved.  I thought to be strange and I don't think I've missed any books in the past.
