Ex-Houston Lawyer, China Bayles leaves it all and starts her own business in Pecan Springs, a lovely Texas hill country community. Most of her time is spent at her Herb and tea business which has expanded with partner, Cass, who is some-what psychic and has come into some money with the Texas Lottery. The highschool principal approaches China to check into shocking allegations made against the highschool coach. As do many fine sleuths, China and Cass take a lot of chances. Albert finds ways to add herb lore, and even recipies in her delightful mystery novels.
