Debut Author: Douglas Corleone
Douglas Corleone is the highly acclaimed and award-winning author of contemporary thrillers. His debut novel, ONE MAN'S PARADISE, was a finalist for the 2010 Shamus Award for Best First Novel and winner of the 2009 Minotaur Books/Mystery Writers of America First Crime Novel Award. His highly acclaimed international thriller, GOOD AS GONE, featuring former U.S. Marshal Simon Fisk, was hailed by the Huffington Post as a "heart-wrenching, adrenaline-producing adventure that...leaves the reader gasping for breath." Corleone delivered another riveting read, keeping your eyes glued to the page until the final PAYOFFÉ PAYOFF is the second book in the series.
The third book coming in August, GONE COLD, garnered a starred review from Booklist saying that, "Once the story kicks into high gear, which is pretty much on the top of page two, it doesn't let up, period." Mystery Scene reported that Simon Fisk could easily be a cousin of Jack Reacher. Like Reacher, Simon is a loner constantly on the move, with a background in law enforcement and a penchant for coming to the rescue of those in need. Corleone delivers an adrenalin-fueled plot with believable, complex characters. He shapes Fisk with a unique personality and background, intriguing enough to maintain a long-running series.
Corleone was recently selected by the Estate of Robert Ludlum to continue Ludlum's series of thrillers featuring ex-Navy SEAL and former government covert agent Paul Janson. THE JANSON EQUATION comes out on in June. Other books in the series include THE JANSON COMMAND and THE JANSON OPTION, both written by Paul Garrison (Justin Scott). Those penning other Ludlum titles include Eric Van Lustbader, Jamie Freveletti, and Kyle Mills.
