Jack DuBrul is the author of eight best-selling Phil Mercer thrillers, was educated at the West Minster School and holds a degree in international relations from George Washington University. Trying to add as much adventure to his life as he does to his novels, Du Brul has climbed Masada at noon, swam in the Arctic Ocean off Point Barrow, explored war-torn Eritrea, camped in Greenland, and was gnawed on by piranhas in the Amazon River. He collects zeppelin memorabilia and when not writing or traveling (25 countries and counting), he can be found in a favorite chair with a book and a brandy.
Writing in a similar manner to writer Clive Cussler, his own novels focus on his character, Dr. Philip Mercer, a successful mining engineer and geologist who gets involved in various threats to the world. Jack DuBrul has written seven Phillip Mercer books: Vulcan's Forge, Charon's Landing, The Medusa Stone, Pandora's Curse, River of Ruin, Deep Fire Rising, and Havoc. In 2015, Jack continues the Phillip Mercer series with The Lightning Stones, book #8 in the series.
DuBrul also co-authored seven of "The Oregon Files" novels with Clive Cussler.
DuBrul lives in Burlington, Vermont.
