5 of 5 Beyond Reach / Mystery April 25, 2010
Reviewer: M. CLEMENT from COLLEGE STATION, TX United States
Dr. Sara Linton is the county's pediatrician and has been sued for malpractice for failing to tell a family about a child's cancer within 48 hours.  It wouldn't make a difference as to the outcome, but Dr Linton knew the family was at a family theme park and wanted them to enjoy their last good time together without telling them the grim results of the test. Husband Jeffrey Tolliver, a police chief has to travel to a rural Georgia town to help out his detective, Lena Adams. Sara goes with him as she can't currently practice medicine. Their lives are in danger constantly and this was  the reason the couple hadn't adopted a child. Sara is unable to have children. Sara was afraid she would have to raise the child alone if her husband was killed in the line of duty. You will find your heart beating faster with this gut-wrenching thriller.  This is taut and gritty and packed with tension and suspense. This is a read that you will not soon forget. It is an extremely tension-filled book.
