Normally Stephanie Plum has only two men in her life,  Ranger and Joe Morelli. Now he's back! Diesel magically appears in Stephanie's apartment. Joe Morelli is on assignment  this week while Stephanie keeps Bob,the dog.  Ranger pops in to say he will be out of town, but Tank is available if she needs anything. Stephanie's bond assignment is for Annie, a relationship coordinator  wanted for burglary and assault with a deadly weapon. Diesel has Annie in a safe house, but he needs to pick up Bernie and needs Stephanie's help.d if Stephanie agrees to take Annie's 5 True Love assignments for Valentine's Day, Diesel will hand over Annie when he  and Stephanie catch Bernie. With Stephanie nothing ever goes according to plan, but she manages to luck her way out with Diesel to a satisfactory conclusion. Full of humor. A short, great read.
