VJ Books answers your questions about Book Grading

Following the best grade, jackets and books are graded separately. A "fine/fine" book is our second highest grade. This book is "fine" in a "fine" dust jacket and clean, spine-straight, free from defects and will be acceptable to the collector. Common exceptions such as price-clipped jacket or remainder markings will always be noted.

As we cater to the collector, we seldom offer books that have a grade less than "New/Unread" or "Fine/Fine." Occassionally we will offer a rare or hard to find book that grades below these standards. These would be noted in a "Fine/Very Good" condition. This grading indicates a fine book in a very good dust jacket. All flaws or defects will be included in the book description.

As always, please feel free to contact [email protected] with any questions you have about books within your existing collection, or those you might consider purchasing. Consider visiting the Ask John or FAQ pages for even more information about book collecting!
