John Sandford is the pseudonym of the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist John Camp. Camp has written twenty books in the bestselling "Prey" series. The series takes place in chronological order although people do read them out of order. John Camp was born in 1944 and was raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Camp received a master's degree in journalism from the University of Iowa. In 1980, he was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize, and he won the Pulitzer in 1986 for a series of stories about a Midwestern farm crisis. From 1990 to the present he has written thriller novels. John is also the author of two non-fiction books, one on plastic surgery and one on art. He is deeply interested in archaeology, art (painting) and photography.
