Author Sam EastlandSam Eastland is the pseudonym of an English author and lives in the US and the UK. He is the grandson of a London police detective who served in Scotland Yard’s famous “Ghost Squad” during the 1940s.
 
His detective series is set in Stalinist Russia with Inspector Pekkala as protagonist. The first novel is titled Eye of the Red Tsar (2010) and focuses on the fall of the Romanovs. It is followed by Shadow Pass (2011), published in the UK as The Red Coffin, and Archive 17 (2012), published in the UK as Siberian Red, with more to come in the future.
