VJ Books Presents Author Amy Lloyd!
Amy Lloyd has tried her hand at many artistic pursuits, but writing is the one that has always kept her coming back. Persistence has been the key to her success. As a teen she dropped out of college three times, but after completing her A-Levels at last, she continued on to Cardiff Metropolitan University where she studied English and Creative Writing. Her debut novel, The Innocent Wife, was first conceived of for an assignment, but received a second-rate grade.
After university, Lloyd worked a series of minimum-wage jobs, but she continued working on The Innocent Wife, and eventually submitted it to the Daily Mail's First Novel contest. Her entry won first place, and will be published this year. She now works part time for the Inland Revenue department in the UK, and spends the rest of her time working on her next novel and other writing projects.
Lloyd currently lives in Cardiff, Wales with partner, Rhys, another published novelist. They have two beautiful cats together.
