Remembering author Michael Palmer
A tough year just keeps getting tougher as we report the
loss of thriller writer Michael Palmer.
Dr. Palmer was a unique voice
in a genre that brought us face to face with the hidden nuances of
medicine. His books, "medical thrillers," kept many of us up late at
night wondering if we would ever go to the doctor again.
He was good to us at VJ Books. He will be sadly missed, as
his unique voice leaves us when we can't help but wonder how he would
have reported on the future of medicine here and around the world.
He joins a stellar group of greats who have departed this year, among
them:
Tom Clancy, Elmore Leonard, Richard Matheson, Vince Flynn, James
Herbert
, and Barbara Mertz, better known to us as Elizabeth Peters.
Farewell all. You have given a lifetime of entertainment.
John
